The Coalition has a proud record of helping local community groups tackle crime, spending over $54 million on more than 700 projects in its last four years in government.

Bayside City Council received $150,000 from the previous Coalition Government to run an education program in Bayside schools aimed at reducing the incidence of new graffiti in the Bayside area.

Brighton Hebrew Congregation received almost $5,000 to install three day and night vision network security cameras on the Synagogue/kindergarten property. 1st Sandringham Scout Group received $3,000 for outdoor lighting. Half Moon Bay Life Saving and Swimming Club, received over $4,500 to install CCTV cameras and an alarm system.

“These projects are great examples of means by which local councils and community groups can contribute to crime prevention in Bayside.

“I congratulate those who have previously taken the initiative to bust crime in Bayside and I encourage others to apply for this funding so we can continue to combat the issue,” Mr Robb said.
