Goldstein Media Releases, Funding
Andrew Robb MP, the Federal Member for Goldstein, is pleased to announce a funding boost for bayside community organisations under the Emergency Relief Programme.
The Emergency Relief Program provides funding to community and charitable organisations to provide emergency assistance to people in financial crisis. The programme, which was first introduced by the Liberal Government in 1977, provides short term relief for people or families in immediate financial crisis through funding local community organisations.
The assistance is primarily provided in the form of food, prescription or petrol vouchers, assistance with rent or accommodation, or material assistance of food parcels or clothing.
“I am pleased to announce that the Bayside Support and Information Service, Brighton Benevolent Society, Community Information Sandringham Inc and the Salvation Army Bentleigh Corps have been offered a total of $72,000 in funding to provide emergency financial relief to bayside residents.” said Andrew Robb MP.
“The Emergency Relief Programme has been providing much needed assistance to Australian families for more than 30 years, and this funding will ensure that these services continue for bayside families.”
“I congratulate these organisations on receiving this funding boost which will allow them to continue their excellent, and much needed work, in the bayside community.”
