Andrew Robb, the Federal Member for Goldstein today congratulated the Vasey RSL Care Limited and the HMAS Assault Association of Australia Inc on receiving grants from the Department of Veterans’ Affairs as part of the Veteran & Community Grants.
Vasey RSL Care Limited have received a grant of $46,730 in order to purchase a 12 seater bus with wheelchair lift facilities to transport veterans to and from the ANZAC Day Centre activity program.
The HMAS Assault Association Inc has received a grant of $3,350 in order to purchase a photocopier so that the group can produce newsletters and disseminate information to its member’s, thereby encouraging involvement in the organisation.
“I am very pleased that these two worthy organisations have received these grants to enable them to continue their important work with bayside veterans” said Andrew Robb.
“Australians are grateful to our veterans and service personnel for their contribution and sacrifice to defend our nation, and for their continuing contribution to our communities. These grants recognise the importance of the contribution made by the Vasel RSL Care Limited and the HMAS Assault Association, and further assists them to continue their programs and activities.”
