Andrew Robb, Federal Member for Goldstein, is encouraging local manufacturing businesses in Bayside to apply for funding through the Re-tooling for Climate Change grants program.

The Re-tooling for Climate Change program is designed to encourage small to medium sized manufacturing businesses to create strategies to reduce their carbon footprint.

“I encourage local businesses in Bayside to apply for funding under this program in order to assist them in becoming better equipped to conduct business in an increasingly carbon constrained economy. Innovation will be at the forefront of tackling climate change and it will be driven by the ingenuity found within our business sector,” Mr Robb said.

Grants of between $10,000 and $500,000, up to a maximum of one third of the cost of each project, can be sought for projects such as small cogeneration plants, stormwater capture and water recycling for use in production, insulation and recovering waste heat, as well as the adoption of energy efficient manufacturing tools.

Information on the Re-tooling for Climate Change Program can be found on the AusIndustry website at www.ausindustry.gov.au, AusIndustry’s hotline on 13 28 46, or by emailing hotline@ausindustry.gov.au.

Further information can also be sought through Andrew Robb’s office on 9557 4644.
