Goldstein companies win export development grants

Two local bayside businesses have received Export Market Development Grants from the Australian Government.

The Grants, which is administered by Austrade, provides financial assistances for aspiring and current exporters for the development of their businesses to break into the competitive export market.

A & P Millich Pty Ltd of Brighton, who work in opal jewellery manufacturing, received $5,000 and E-wise Holdings Pty Ltd of Brighton East, who are a computer software development company received a grant of over $12,500.

“I am pleased to congratulate A & P Millich and E-wise Holdings on receiving an Export Market Development Grant.” said the Federal Member for Goldstein, Andrew Robb.

“These companies are receiving these grants because of their proven hard work and dedication to building their businesses. The Government is thrilled to give small and medium enterprises a boost to encourage aspiring or current exporters to grow their businesses further.”

In 2003 - 2004 over 3,600 small and medium enterprises around Australia received grants as part of this scheme. For more information on the scheme visit www.austrade.gov.au or contact Austrade on 13 28 78.
